The 2023 AIPPI World Congress in Istanbul: A Summary
We are pleased to present a snapshot of the 2023 AIPPI World Congress, which recently concluded in Istanbul. A record number of 15 members from the AIPPI Singapore Group were present, bringing their expertise to this significant event in the intellectual property calendar.
The Congress, held at the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel & Conference Center, is a key gathering where international members discuss important topics in intellectual property law. Our members from Singapore participated actively in the harmonisation programme, contributing to the formation of the AIPPI’s 2023 Resolutions.
Aside from the legal discussions, the Congress also served as a platform for professional development and networking. Our Singapore members had the opportunity to engage with fellow IP experts from around the world, fostering dialogues and building connections that span continents.
One of our very own members, Regina Quek was elected as the First Deputy Secretary General of the AIPPI Bureau at the Congress. We extend our warmest congratulations to her on this significant achievement!
Set against the backdrop of Istanbul, a city where cultures and epochs intersect, the Congress was an enriching experience for all attendees. The city’s blend of tradition and modernity mirrored the diverse discussions that took place during the event.
